I went in for an oil change July 4, 2025.My vehicle received a scratch and the manager was supposed to review the cameras and respond to me about what happened. I have not received anything not a courtesy call or email. I am a Service Member and will ensure that Judge Advocate General's Corps of the military on Fort Sam Houston receives this issue and ensures ALL service members avoid this business and blacklist it. Now it seems my vehicle has no Oil in it and I have not driven it for 30 days.

Update 7/25: I reached out to the district manager again today. He let me know a final decision would be made by this evening. It is 7:30 and I’ve texted and called and still haven’t heard anything back!! Update 7/20: Still haven’t heard anything back from the district manager or operations manager! I will have to get a rental for work for the second week in a row!!! Update 7/18: Tech Zach told me he would have the car pulled into the shop this evening and have it looked at. He was unaware the car had been sitting there which I chalk up to a lack of communication on the part of management. He was able to get a hold of district manager Isaac Munoz who said he would get in touch with the operations manager and get back to me. Update 7/18: I still haven’t heard anything back from the district manager since he texted me on 7/15 to have my car towed. I’ve called and texted numerous times and gotten no reply. I escalated it with consumer relations and still haven’t heard anything back. I went in person to the store and they said the general manager is out and would be back tomorrow. I went to the Midas on West Ave on 7/8 and was able to get out pretty quickly. Then on 7/14 I was driving on the highway when my steering wheel locked and the oil light and battery light came on. Luckily I was able to pull off into a neighborhood. I waited for a tow truck and took it to a mechanic. The mechanic told me that whoever did the oil change last probably didn’t put the oil filter on tight enough because there was no oil filter! He said my engine was now locked and I would have to replace it with a new one!!! I called Midas and they told me to call the consumer relations line. I did and was contacted by Isaac Munoz, the district manager. He told me they would offer a complimentary oil change!!! I told him that would do nothing with my engine now seized up. I received a text from Isaac at 4:30pm on 7/15 to ask where the car was located to tow it to Midas. I let him know the next morning and it was towed around noon. It is late 7/17 and despite numerous calls and texts, I still haven’t got an update on my vehicle. I work in home health and need my vehicle to get around to my different clients. DON’T USE THIS COMPANY!!

New edit: still no refund despite district manager Ike saying it was processed (on 4/24) and would take 4-6 weeks with an added picture of him confirming refund was approved. *** Adding a picture of my oil sensor that was damaged by sealant that was provided to me by Subaru. Irrefutable proof they messed up my sensor. That could have fallen off the sensor and ruined my motor. ***also the link provided is a BS link. No one has gotten in contact with me about this issue. Had my oil changed here the last two times. The second time I was informed that my oil plug was striped from the previous oil change. They repaired/replaced the oil pan at no cost to me, which I was grateful for, however, the repair was not done correctly, nor was the oil change. My oil filter was not placed on correctly and it was leaking oil. My low oil light came on. I brought it back and they cleaned and placed the oil filter properly and tipped off my oil (it was low). My low oil light never came off. I ended up taking my car to the dealership and came to find out that they damaged my sensor and the oil pan wasn’t sealed correctly. I ended up paying over $1500 to get that repaired. Customer service was good, and I appreciate that they wanted to make the problems right, but it’s not worth the ineptitude and additional cost to fix their mistakes.

Invoice # 0034745, 5/31/2025, 10:28 AM. I bought a synthetic oil change this morning at Midas for my 2016 Toyota Camry Hybrid. After leaving Midas, my car was running rough. It kept running badly and my check-engine light went on. I brought it back to Midas only to find out that the mechanic had left a vacuum line disconnected after doing the oil change. After the mechanic reconnected the vacuum line and reset my check-engine light, my car runs perfectly, just like it should after an oil change. I shared with the on-duty manager named Derek that I had lost an hour of my time due to their mistake. I simply asked him to show me that my time was actually worth something, and to make some tangible effort to make this right, Something that would make me want to come back to Midas for my next auto service. He declined to do so. So I calmly and politely told him that I would not be back.

*** UPDATE**** As 09/02/24. I’ve submitted via the website listed by owner’s response and called customer relations. Still no response***** I came here to get an oil change on because I was driving out of town. I bought it on 06/02/24, from Groupon. I went to on 06/03/24 for the change. I drove 06/05/24 & upon arrival I noticed smoke & a puddle of oil. I opened my hood & they forgot to put my engine cap on and oil was everywhere. I called immediately spoke to Manager Joe. Advised what happened. He asked if I could come in. I said I drove out of town.I had no oil and had to buy oil and fill. I don’t know much about cars but I know, no oil can crack my head gaskets and mess my car up. Upon my return home, Monday, I went to speak to Joe on 06/10. He said he can only apologize. I requested a refund for my oil change ($40.49) & oil/funnel ($32.45) total $72.94, I had to buy. First he said only the oil but not the oil change bc I got from Groupon. I asked to speak to GM or someone who could refund my oil change. I advised other customers in lobby who could hear, to check their cars if came for oil change. Joe got upset didn’t want to help me and ignored me. I lifted and called their #1800 to complain same day. Same day, General Manager, Issac called with 15 min of the complaint. I recapped my issue. He offered free oil changes, but I declined. I requested refund for oil change and purchased items. He asked to send via text pics proof of both and address and would issue a check. I did right after. Confirmed next day he received. Time went by no check. I sent a text on 6/24 no response. He ignored my calls & text. Still nothing by7/9. Submitted another complaint via #1800. GM Issac the text next day. Said he didn’t know I didn’t get the check, but text from the same number I had been calling & text asking for updates. He said check could take 6-8wks offered cash app instead. I thought it was sketchy but I’ve been waiting this long so opted for that. I agreed, sent my info and as of this post 08/08/24, nothing. I filed a complaint with Better Business Bureau on 7/17, they haven’t responded to them either. I tried several times to allow Midas to do the right thing. I only asked for what is owed and what is right. Only what I paid nothing more or less.
